Hello, my name is Nigel, welcome to my web site.
I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety.
I completed my instructor training through LDC and quickly realised how fortunate I was to have chosen them as they have taught me the latest adult training techniques. This means that you can be sure that your training will be to the highest standards possible. I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LDC system allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible and the LDC system allows me to do just that meaning, that all lessons are conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner.
Before becoming a driving instructor, I served 30 years in the Royal Air Force Police, initially as a dog handler then specialising as an Investigator and later as a Crime Scene Investigator. The last two years of my career were spent working at the Military Corrective Training Centre (Military Prison) where I developed a myriad of skills in training people.
I live in Colchester with my wife Dawn and 3 of my 6 adult sons. It was a bit like a youth club in our house when they were all at home, every day was, and still is, a learning day. Before joining the RAF, I had lived in Colchester as a young child before moving to Clacton-on-Sea, where I spent most of my formative years.
My interests are many and varied however my passion is in the conservation of the UK bees. To that end, I am an avid beekeeper and currently have three hives containing several thousand honey bees, none of which accompany me on lessons.
